During first quarter of 2005, Office of Government Commerce (OGC) conducted an extensive worldwide public consultation process to collect opinion from ITIL community. This was part of the 6 month ITIL refresh project undertaken by OGC to define the scope and development plans for a new version of ITIL best practice guidance.

The findings were consolidated into a report. The outcome of the project shall shape the future version of ITIL.
